Biography
Costa Rican violinist Eva Liebhaber is a member of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. She holds a bachelor's degree from Arizona State University where she was a Herberger Scholarship recipient and graduated cum laude under the tutelage of Jonathan Swartz. Eva earned a master's degree from Rice University where she was a teaching assistant for her most influential teacher, Kathleen Winkler.
In 2012, Eva was personally invited by Maestro Lorin Maazel to join the Castleton Music Festival in Castleton, Virginia where she has been a festival orchestra member since. She has also participated in festivals such as Grand Teton Music Festival, Orchesterakademie at the Esterhazy Palace and Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra. She has performed alongside soloists like Yo-Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, Gil Shaham, Denyse Graves, Bela Fleck, Randy Newman, Allen Toussaint, Peter Gabriel and Michael Buble and has performed in the Berlin Philharmonie, Berlin Konzerthaus, Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall. Eva has performed as a guest with orchestras such as Orquesta Sinfónica de Minería in Mexico City, Malaysian Philharmonic in Kuala Lumpur, New World Symphony in Miami, and Chamber Orchestra of San Antonio. She is actively engaged in the Music Education Programs from the LPO and teaches at her private studio in New Orleans. |
